OBJECTIVES

Objectives - National Bee Board

• Organize and promote beekeeping, honey and other beehive products in the country.

• Promote and regulate domestic and export market of honey and other allied products.

• Maintain close liaison with Government and Government organizations to advise them on issues concerning beekeepers.

• Advise Government, farmers and industry for development of beekeeping.

• Assist beekeepers in raising their apiaries through subsidies, grants and support from Government, semi-Government and private organizations.

• Promote and make efforts to increase production and productivity in various crops through pollination.

• Undertake and encourage scientific, technological and economic research on beekeeping, bee products, honey processing, quality improvement, grading and packaging.

• Assist and guide stakeholders regarding facilities for migratory beekeeping.

• Develop, promote and regulate trade of honey and other beehive products.
